Overlapping Squares 2

Take 2 identical 12 cm squares of paper. Place one exactly on top

of the other. As you rotate the top square about its centre,

the area of overlap between the 2 squares decreases,

and the corners of the lower square ‘stick out’.

What is the largest fraction of the lower square you will ever see ?
