Cashmann empties Parking meters in Chicago for a living. His first meter today
contained $29.50 in coins � all of them either dollar coins or quarters (worth
$0.25 to Europeans without much imagination�!). There are 43 coins in all. How
many of each coin were there? At
the same time, his British counterpart, Count Sterling, collects exactly 100
coins from his last meter of the day in Oxford. They are a mixture of 1p, 20p
and 50p coins, and their total value is exactly �10� what chance that, he
